Only people earn a lot of money are successful?

Nowadays, there are some weird issues are talking by people. For example, only people earn a lot of money are successful? I totally assume that is something ridiculous.

I do not think that only people who earn a lot of money are successful. I admit that most of successful people earn lots of money, but it doesn’t represent that only people who are rich are successful. I assume that if you want to judge someone if he or she is successful, you mustn’t only consider if he or she is rich. I think that the feeling of successful is a subjective feeling. For example, you think that a person is successful; however, the others do not think so too.

I think the most important element of success is about dream. I assume that if someone has made his or her dreams come true, he or she is successful even though he or she is not rich. For example, Taiwan’s most unusual philanthropist, Chen Shu-chu. She woke up hardly every day, but no matter how much she earns, she spends no more than three dollars a day on herself. She takes the rest money to help other people. She even said that she hopes that she can do this forever. I think she is someone successful because she is doing what she likes and wants to do.

In conclusion, it is not only people who earn a lot of money are successful. People who are really successful are depending on if he or she has made his or her dream come true.

Reflection:

I think that I do not have a good introduction; I should make it more easily to be understood. And I should make my conclusion more powerful to make the end.

A big or a small university

When it comes to choosing a university to study abroad, in common, you usually have two choices. One is a small university, another is a big university. I prefer to big university. Here I will compare the two choices.

First, it is about the fee. There is no doubt that big university have high fee for studying there, I think that is deserved. We have to pay more if we want to get more. On the other way, a small university has the lower fee but I think that I will get fewer too. If it is in the condition that I can afford for the fee, I will choose big university with do doubt. 

Second, it is about the surroundings. Most of big universities are located in the big cities. However, most of small universities are located in the villages. I assume that I prefer to convenient life. If I lived in a big city, I can get anything easily and go anywhere easily, because a big city usually has good vital functions.

Third, it is about the courses. I deeply believe that a big university has better courses than a small university. For example, a big university usually has better teaching tools, resourcing, and the level of teachers. Most of big universities have excellent teachers and I believe that I can learn much from their professional teaching ways. Most of small universities have low level of teachers because they do not have enough money to pay for good teachers. These three important reasons are something that affects me to choose a big university.

In conclusion, I would choose a big university with no doubt and I hope that I could make it come true in the future.

I made some mistakes on verbs tense, and I should not to use English in Chinese way. It makes the article no fluently.

I assume that most people think that money is everything; only few of people see money as useless as a shit. To me, I agree strongly that money is everything. Although it is said that’ Money can’t do everything.’ I assume that if you do not have money first, you can’t do everything. There are many reasons to support my thinking.

First, it is about your surroundings. If you have money, you can choose where you want to live. You can even hire architects to design your house. And if you have money, you can have a good way for transportation. You can choose what vehicles you want to drive today. You even can have someone to drive for you. You would not be limited. Moreover, if you have money, your friends, I mean the social circle, must similar to you. My mother always tells me that I have to make friends with someone who can give you positive energy. I mean that if your friends are not poor, they won’t become your economic burden. 

Second, it is about your entertainments. If you have money, you can go travel everywhere and you even can take your family members together. And if you have money, you can go shopping really and it is not just window shopping. You can really buy something you wanted and it’s not just thinking.

Third, if you have money, you can have more chances to stay healthy. If you were sick, you can afford the fee of hospital and you can get the good treatments. You even can demand professional medical team to treat you. Moreover, if you have money, you can get the better medicine that is good for your treatment.

In conclusion, there are many things that you can do and to have if you have money. But it’s not everything. However, I still believe that money is everything because it can satisfy me on many things. I deeply understand that if I didn’t have money, I couldn’t do many things. 

Reflection:

I do not have a good introduction at first; maybe the readers cannot understand what idea I want to tell them. And some of my supporters are not powerful to let the readers believe my ideas.

Cellphone in my life

Nowadays, cellphones have become something necessary for most of people. I’m also one of those people. For me, I use my cellphone almost the whole day, and I find that my cellphone has become part of my life.

As the technology development, cellphones have become more convenient and more helpful than before. For example, I use my cellphone to surf the NET and watch the news every day, and it is also easy to get many information from it. What I need to do is just touch the screen some times and then I could get what I wanted. There are many convenient functions in my cellphone and I assume that I just used 50 percent of them until now. Cellphones bring many advantages to all of people and there is no doubt that cellphones have make people’s life more convenient.

However, cellphones also bring some disadvantages to us. Some studies have found that most people use their cellphones before they go to sleep and this behavior has made their quality of sleeping go down. Some scientists said that it is because that if we used our cellphones before sleeping, our brain would keep working and then we could not fall asleep right away, and we would have a low quality of sleeping. I have this behavior, too. I always use my cellphone before I go to sleep, and I find that I couldn’t sleep well and I still have clear-headed even though I have laying on the bed for a long time. It’s just because I use my cellphone before I sleep. Some studies also pointed out that the eerie blue glow from cellphones is harmful for people’s eyes. Scientists recommend that people should spend less the time on watching their cellphones or theirs eyes would get hurt. To me, I do not like to use my cellphone for a long time because it would make me feel fuzzy and uncomfortable. I even feel a little headache after using it for a long time. That was really a terrible experience to me.

In conclusion, cellphones are really helpful and convenient for me, but I still need to use it in a wise way. I should try not to use it often and less the time of using it. I think that if I use it in a right way, it would become a wonderful thing to me and enrich my life. (401)

I made many mistakes on the verb tense (past tense or simple present tense); I correct them on the top of the article. I also made many mistakes in writing English in a Chinese way; I should pay attention on it and make my sentences more fluent.

Comparison about online writing and word processing

There are two ways for me to improve my English writing skills, one is online writing and another one is word processing. Online writing is writing my articles in blog and word processing is just writing my articles in the software of Word. I want to compare two of them to ensure which one is better for me to learn.

First, online writing in blog is convenient. Blog is a public space that everyone can read my articles in anytime with any limit. Word processing is not public. If someone wants to read my articles, he or she has to get my permission. They could not to read my articles in anytime. Second, online writing makes anyone can have some comments about my articles. If I used word processing, I could not to get any comments. And I could not to know how they thought about my articles. Third, online writing could make my articles more perfect. Because I could get their comments and I could modify my defects immediately. If I used word processing, I could not to modify my articles right away and I could not to make my articles more excellent.

I prefer to use word processing because I’m someone who thinks that privacy is very important. In my opinion, if I upload my articles to internet, there must be someone who copies my articles without telling me. And that would make me feel so bad. There will be some benefits too. For example, if I put my articles to internet, I could have the chance to modify my articles and that could make anyone who online to read my articles in anytime. In fact, I prefer to use word processing because there are two reasons. First, word can help me to proofread my wrong words. Second, I can have clean typesetting. If I use online writing, I could not have these benefits. In conclusion, if I have the chance to choose, I will no doubt to choose word processing.

Summary:

This book is talking about a little boy who named SIMPKIN with blond hair. In this book, described a little boy, SIMPKIN, his daily life. Sometimes he is kind and sometimes he is naughty; sometimes he is fast and sometimes he is slow; Sometimes he is fat and sometimes he is thin. He is just like a sweet baby that in every family, sometimes he is a cute angel and sometimes he is a terribly naughty child. He is just like a normal child in every family. But the difference is, he always has the opposite actions or condition.

Reflection:

I seldom read children's books in my childhood; my impression of children’s books was boring and stodgy and I did not think that it’s helpful for me. When I saw some parents bought their children children’s book, I thought that was weird and could not make out what they were thinking. This time our English teacher gives us a chance to read children’s books and when I read this book, I assume that it’s really an interesting book and when I read this book, SIMPKIN, I assume that it’s really an interesting book. First, the writer used the opposite adjective and described SIMPKIN’s every movement and every action clearly. Second, the writer used the skill of rhyme and special line to make the screen more vivid. I recommend this book for parents read with their children and for English teaching.

Movie: Marty's world

Summary:

There is a child who has cancer and an old man who can't move and talk, the child has cancer but he is very energetic. Although he is a terribly naughty child, but he can bring pleasure to the inanimate hospital. The child ran into the paralyzed old man, at first he thought that’s interesting, and then he started to play games around the old man. To him, the old man is a super Mario granddad. Although the pessimism old man hated the naughty strange child very much, he wished that he could have the peace life. As time goes by, they started an emotion that cannot put into words.

 They like family, and they also like friends. To force the silent from the old man, the child is patient. As the time goes by, they have a way for communication. The child treated the old man like his best friend, just like want to do something for him before he died. In the end of the story, the child took the old man to the beach by his handmade wheel chief, and the child also got a present from the old man’s packet. It’s impossible to get something from who can do nothing. At the last screen, they relayed on the shoulders of each other, how a silent screen, it’s very touching.

Reflection:

There are many scenes that I like in this movie, such as the relationship between the Super Mario Granddad and Marty, the marital relationship between Suzanne and Berrant, and the relationship between the medical personnel and the patients. I think the funniest scene is Marty ran into the strange man Berrant and he felt the old man is very interesting, and then he started to play games around him. He even alters Berrant’s medical record that made him to be a lab rat. I think this is an interesting movie and I learn that we have to appreciate what we have right now. I don’t want to be a person that likes Berrant in the movie. He had many thing want to say and want to do after he lived in the hospital. But that’s all too late. I hope I can do them all in the time that I can do.
